Release of RadeonHD 1.1.0 driver

You thought that display driver's updates were over? Wrong, It's now the turn of the new open-source radeonHD driver, for R500 (Radeon X1000 series) and R600 (Radeon HD 2000 series) chipsets, developed by Novell. One month after the first stable release, here is the 1.1.0 version. It still doesn't bring 3D or even 2D acceleration but mainly fixes and some new functionalities.

More precisely, the changes are:
- A better monitor detection.
- More stability.
- A text-mode restoration.
- Added RS600 chipset support and preliminary support for the RV670 chipset (Radeon HD 3850 and Radeon HD 3870 cards).
- Gamma, palette and RandR mode selection fixes.
- Initial support for HDMI by treating it like DVI.

Installation


With X.Org 7.0 or later, unpack the archive, go in the just created directory and launch the following commands:
$ ./autogen.sh
$ make
$ make install
