I couldn't run this game through Steam and Uplay.

After installing the Steam and the game itself, I get the login window of Uplay, but cannot log in. I receive this message:

"There seems to be a problem with your internet connection. Please check your settings or switch to offline mode".

Then, when I close the Uplay window, I get the "Wine program crash" message:

"Internal errors - Invalid parameters received".

The log looks like this:

I'm very unsure that's the cause of the crash, but for that specific problem you could try installing libasound2-plugins:i386, or whatever package is equivalent for your distribution

Thanks for the advice, but I already have libasound2-plugins:i386 installed.

Finally, I was able to run Revelations with PlayOnLinux. For that I first installed Assassin's Creed 2 via PlayOnLinux, logged in to Uplay and then downloaded and installed Revelations from Steam. Works fine, just can't syncronize the progress with the cloud.
