Wine version: 1.3.18
Distribution: Debian
Distribution version: Testing x64
Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce GTX480
Graphics card driver: 270.29
Comments:
- The only way to play this game with Wine for now is to bypass the anti-hack protections. If you replace the
client.dll and
server.dll files, the game is perfectly playable via Steam and the co-op mode works.
- Nvidia card processors are the only ones that can really give the game's best performance, while the others get repeated crashes according to the
AppDB.
Here is a short preview of the game, made with the Capture plugin:

Note:
Protection bypassing means are required to play the game at this time for two reasons:
1- They fix bugs causing regular game crashes (it's ironic that hackers can fix this before Valve...).
2- They also fix a bug preventing Wine from running the game.
Developers promised a patch that will fix all of these issues. Once the patch comes out and the fixes are confirmed, I will edit the PoL installer accordingly.
Edit:
Despite the second update, protection bypasses still need to be used to run this game with Wine... It is unlikely that Valve will fix issues only affecting Wine, so Wine developers will have to provide the fix.
Have fun :sunglasses:
